About Me

Hey, I’m Aastha 👋

I’m a cybersecurity student with a deep curiosity for how systems work — and how they break. My journey into security started with a fascination for capture-the-flag competitions, and has since grown into a serious pursuit of penetration testing, network defense, and digital forensics.

  • Home Lab Projects — Building out my own SOC environment with Splunk, pfSense, and vulnerable VMs to practice detection and response
  • Open Source — Contributing to security tooling and writing scripts to automate reconnaissance workflows
  • Community — Sharing knowledge through blog writeups and helping newcomers get started in cybersecurity

🔭 Currently Learning: Advanced Active Directory exploitation techniques, cloud security fundamentals (AWS), and preparing for the CompTIA Security+ certification.

Beyond the Terminal

When I’m not hacking away at CTF challenges, you’ll find me exploring new music, sketching, or diving into a good sci-fi novel. I believe in the power of community and love connecting with other security enthusiasts.
